Scientific tempers ran high, with undiminished zeal and fervour flowing in the veins of the budding scientists as they confidently and swiftly came up with the answers to the questions shot by the quiz master during the STEM Quest 2019 held at DAV Sr. Public School, Surajpur. This year the STEM Quest was organized as ‘Hub of Learning’ activity under the heading HOL Abhigya the seekers – STEM QUEST as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The teams named after eminent scientists – Galileo, Nikola, Smeaton and Archimedes comprised of the three contestents each, selected out of 16 CBSE schools of Tricity.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Meenu Wats, Sr. Assistant Professor of the Zoology department from DAV College, Sector – 10, Chandigarh.

Undestheable guidance of Principal Dr. Mamta Goel, and hosted by ma’am Balwinder Kaur, head of the Chemistry department, the Quest was divided into Fastest Finger Round, Main Round, Scan and Copy Round, Spacetech Round, Visual Round, Parody Round, Rapid Fire Round and then Audience Round.

It was a highly informative and brain storming session, with the entire environment brimming with positivity vibes.

After an impressive welcoming address, Dr. Mamta Goel threw an ample light on the purpose of such STEM Quests calling them an inevitable and integral annual feature of the school, which aimed at honing and shaking dormant scientific tempers among the science students.

Result of the Quiz is as follows :

1^st Position attained by Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

2^nd Position attained by CL DAV Sector – 11, Panchkula

3^rd Postion attained by KB DAV Sector – 7, Chandigarh
